Why your parcel may look different each time.
Depending on the size, shape and contents of your order, your parcel may arrive in a cardboard mailer, paper mailer, Pollastic mailer, reused cardboard box or other repurposed packaging materials.
We intentionally reuse suitable packaging whenever possible rather than sending perfectly usable materials to landfill or recycling. Because of this, two orders placed on the same day may arrive packaged differently.
Why we use Pollastic mailers.
For many years we used compostable courier bags. While they were a great option in theory, we found they were not always the best fit for the way we ship orders today.
Pollastic mailers are made from recycled ocean-bound plastic collected from coastal communities before it reaches the ocean. By using these mailers, we are helping remove existing plastic pollution while reducing demand for new virgin plastic.
The Better Packaging Co. works with collection communities in regions heavily impacted by plastic pollution, creating employment opportunities while helping prevent waste from entering waterways and oceans.
Like any packaging choice, Pollastic is not perfect, but for some orders it offers a practical balance between durability, weight and environmental impact.

We believe good packaging should stay in circulation for as long as possible.
Bring back eligible containers and we’ll reward you with $1 store credit per item, even if you didn’t originally purchase them from us.

Clean your containers
Please make sure all containers are empty, clean and suitable to be reused.
Return them to us
Drop them off in Miramar or contact us to arrange the best way to return them.
Receive store credit
You’ll receive $1 store credit for every eligible item returned.
Safety Razor Blade Take Back
We also collect used safety razor blades, even if they weren’t purchased from us.
Wrap blades securely in paper and return them to us. We send them on to Caliwoods as part of their blade take-back programme.
Common questions
Will my order always arrive in Preloved Packaging if I select it?
Not always. We do our best to honour packaging preferences, but occasionally suitable reused packaging may not be available.
Will a gift order look less special if it arrives in reused packaging?
No. Orders are still packed thoughtfully and carefully. The difference is primarily in the outer packaging materials used.
Do I need to clean containers before returning them?
Yes. Please ensure all containers are empty and cleaned before returning them.
Can I return containers from brands other than The Minimal Co?
Yes. Please check the accepted list above for the brands and container types we currently take back.
