A more considered way to bring your wedding together.
From Capture Kits and Audio Guestbooks to lawn games, wishing wells,
serveware and gathering essentials.
Planning a wedding means making hundreds of decisions.
When we planned our own wedding, we quickly discovered how many beautiful items are purchased for a single day and then stored away, resold, or never used again.
The Minimal Studio was created to offer a more thoughtful alternative. A curated collection of pieces that help create meaningful celebrations without the cost, clutter and decision fatigue that often comes with wedding planning.
Thoughtful pieces for the whole celebration.
From the guest memories to the practical details, our collection is designed to help your wedding feel considered without adding more to source, store or organise.
Capture Kits
Guest-led photos and video memories captured from inside the celebration.
Audio Guestbooks
Voice messages from the people you love most, captured in a way that feels personal and nostalgic.
Lawn Games
A simple way to bring guests together during cocktail hour and between key moments of the day.
Wishing Wells
Beautiful, practical pieces designed to blend seamlessly into your wedding styling.
Serveware & Gathering Pieces
Boards, basins, vessels and thoughtful details for welcome drinks, recovery brunches and shared tables.
Keepsake Kits
Guest-captured video memories, edited into a nostalgic keepsake film.
Beautiful weddings. Less stuff.
Most wedding purchases are used once. We created The Minimal Studio to offer a more thoughtful alternative - helping couples create meaningful celebrations without buying, storing and reselling everything afterwards.
Hiring isn't just about sustainability. It's also about reducing decision fatigue. Instead of spending months sourcing dozens of individual items, you can choose from a collection that has already been carefully curated to work together.
The result is less time researching, less money tied up in one-day purchases, and more energy available for the parts of wedding planning that matter most.
Designed for more than just the wedding day.
Many celebrations now stretch across a full weekend. Our hire pieces can help make each part feel considered, without needing to buy everything yourself.
Welcome Drinks
Serveware, drinks basins, vessels and gathering details for garden parties, aperitivos and relaxed pre-wedding moments.
The Wedding Day
Capture Kits, Audio Guestbooks, wishing wells, lawn games and thoughtful styling pieces for the main celebration.
Recovery Brunches
A slower morning with the people you love most, made easier with serveware and gathering pieces designed to be shared.
Engagement Parties
Celebrate the beginning of the journey with pieces that make the moment feel special without adding more to store afterwards.
Businesses we'd happily recommend to our own friends.
We've spent years planning events, including our own wedding. These are a few Wellington businesses we've personally worked with and genuinely admire.
Olivia Melhop Photography
Natural, candid photography with a calm, generous presence behind the camera. I first met Olivia at a wedding in 2023 and have been quietly obsessed with her work ever since — she captures people beautifully and somehow only keeps getting better.
Elegant & Wild
Planning, styling and coordination for couples who want their wedding to feel beautifully considered without carrying the stress themselves. Alicia brings warmth, structure and style to the process, helping couples stay present and enjoy the day they have worked so hard to create.
Nuka Beauty Studios
Great events start before the day itself. From makeup appointments to brows and lashes, Renuka helps people feel confident, polished and celebration-ready for life's biggest moments. Based in Wellington Central, she offers a welcoming studio experience for those preparing for a special occasion.
Tomboy
A Wellington favourite for cakes, pastries and desserts that are genuinely as delicious as they are beautiful. We were lucky enough to have Tomboy as our local bakery for years, and they have fed us everything from casual morning teas to made-to-order celebration cakes.
First Dance Wellington
Kathryn helps couples feel comfortable, confident and surprisingly capable on the dance floor. We went to her for our own first dance and were amazed by how quickly it came together with her guidance.
The Village Goldsmith
A Wellington jewellery studio known for thoughtful craftsmanship, locally made pieces and custom work. Their rings feel personal and enduring — the kind of pieces designed to be lived in and loved for a lifetime.
We are not affiliated with these businesses and do not receive commissions for recommending them. They are simply people whose work we admire.
Frequently asked questions.
How far in advance should we book?
Popular wedding dates can book well in advance, particularly during peak wedding season. We recommend enquiring as early as possible to secure your preferred items.
Do you deliver throughout Wellington?
Many items can be collected from Miramar, Wellington. Delivery may also be available for selected bookings depending on location, timing and availability.
Can we hire multiple products together?
Absolutely. Many couples combine Capture Kits, Audio Guestbooks, wishing wells, lawn games and gathering pieces as part of a single booking.
What happens if something is damaged?
Minor wear consistent with normal event use is expected. For significant damage, loss or non-return, repair or replacement costs may apply in line with our Hire Terms.
Do you only service weddings?
Not at all. Our collection is also available for engagement parties, hens weekends, birthdays, corporate events, baby showers and other celebrations.
