While originally designed to store bar soap, we quickly discovered this bamboo Soap Keeper was the perfect companion to the No Tox Life Dish Block. Its internal dimensions fit the Medium and Huge Dish Blocks almost perfectly, keeping them securely in place while you scrub dishes.
Rather than sliding around the sink or spinning as you move your dish brush across the surface, the Dish Block stays firmly in place, making everyday washing noticeably easier.
The slatted bamboo base allows excess water to drain away between uses, helping your Dish Block dry properly and last longer while keeping your sink area neat.
Whether you’re switching to solid dish soap for the first time or replacing an old soap dish, it’s a simple upgrade that makes one of our favourite kitchen products even better.

Why we chose this
We actually stock two different soap keepers, and that was a deliberate decision.
Our New Zealand-made reclaimed timber Soap Keeper is beautiful, locally crafted and works wonderfully for storing both bar soap, shampoo & conditioner bars, and Dish Blocks.
The No Tox Life Bamboo Soap Keeper solves a slightly different problem.
Because it’s sized specifically for the Medium and Huge Dish Blocks, the soap sits snugly inside the tray instead of sliding around while you’re scrubbing dishes. It’s a small detail, but one that makes the Dish Block noticeably more enjoyable to use every day.
Rather than choosing one over the other, we wanted to offer both - allowing you to choose between locally crafted timber or the purpose-designed holder that perfectly complements one of our favourite products.

No Tox Life is a family-owned company founded by mother and daughter Sandee and Callie Milford. The business grew from Sandee’s lifelong interest in natural living and her search for products that were both effective and thoughtfully made.
